Mother's Day in Goshen

Last year on Mother's Day I suggested to Kasey that we should drive over to Goshen (40 minutes east) to have dinner at a restaurant that we like.  So we packed up the kids and drove all the way over there only to learn that the restaurant is closed on Sundays.  In fact, the entire town of Goshen seemed to be shut down.  So Kasey's  Mother's Day dinner ended up being at a bad Mexican restaurant 40 minutes away when our favorite Mexican restuarant is 3 minutes up the street from us.  Oh well!  She was a trooper and we made the best of it by enjoying some time after dinner at a really great park.  It is one of those big wooden playgrounds that is probably a pretty magical place for a kid as it has all kinds of slides, bridges, and little hiding places.  I know there are a lot of parks like this now, but I sometimes laugh at the very simple parks I played on as a kid.  The parks these days are so big you really have to keep an eye on them.   - Matthew
